The 4Cs Precision Fit Guide: How to Measure Your Ring Size

At 4Cs Diamond Jewelry, we believe that absolute brilliance begins with a perfect fit. Whether you are preparing for a surprise proposal or selecting a custom masterpiece, ensuring your ring is sized with technical precision is the first step in your bespoke journey.

Follow our artisan-verified methods to determine your exact size from the comfort of your home.

1. Measure the circumference of your finger

Materials needed: flexible measuring tape, a string or thin strip of paper, and a ruler.

Select the perfect finger: pick the finger where you are going to wear the ring.

1. Cut a piece of string, yarn, floss, or a thin strip of paper to at least three inches long.

2. Wrap one end of the string around the base of the intended finger.

3. Using a pen or marker, mark where the end of the string overlaps with the rest.

4. Lay the string flat and use a ruler to measure the length between the end and your mark in millimeters.

2. Measure Your Ring's Diameter

To get the perfect fit or to know the exact size of the ring, you must have one that fits perfectly on the finger, along with a tape measure or a ruler.

Step 1: Determine the diameter by placing a ring on the ruler and measuring the shortest distance between two points inside.

Step 2: Refer to the table below to find your size according to the measured diameter.

You can go for the second method when you want to surprise your loved ones and don’t want to ask them for their ring size.
